Summary

這部小說，確實地描寫了疾風怒濤般的青春。主角是兩個還沒有亮相機會的女子相聲組合。雖然貧窮但志向很大，才能也漸漸地受到注目，描寫著他們努力奮鬥的每一天。讀後感覺非常清爽、開朗。尤其是對主角之一Akako的精巧描寫，決定著作品的主要印象。但是，其他登場人物、發生的事件等等，也都洋溢著生活感。即將跨入三十大關的女孩（因為她們認真且充滿個性的姿態，讓人想以「女孩」來稱呼她們。）所組成的相聲團體。描寫著他們一步一腳印的經歷。

因清楚地目的意識以及強烈的信賴感所連結的兩人，既不敗給性騷擾，也不輸給貧窮，捨棄「想談戀愛、好好打扮」的女人心，往成為明星的大道上前進。沒有太過露骨的情景描寫，只有積極向前的態度，並不是那麼的悲慘，反而讓人處處感受到元氣，是健全的青春小說。

我想「相聲」，不只是「逗人笑」的東西，也是「被人笑」的東西。有被計算中的發笑，也有非計算中的笑…。常常看著電視上年輕人的搞笑演出，這麼地想著。

山本幸久（YAMAMOTO Yukihisa）
1966年5月31日出生於東京八王子市。於1989年自中央大學文學部史學科畢業。經歷過裝潢公司、編輯工作室等工作。2003年以「招『笑』貓（得獎作品「Akako 跟Hitomi」改名）」獲得第16屆SUBARU新人獎，並以作家身份出道。
著有「HANAUT BIYORI」、「凹凸days」、「幸福火箭」等作品。

Dan Bar-el teaches preschool children and travels around the country as a storyteller. He has also worked as a professional comedy writer and performer, and is a published poet. Dan is the author of one chapter book, SUCH A PRINCE is his first book for Clarion. He lives in Vancouver, British Columbia.

John Manders has illustrated more than 30 books, including QUIET NIGHT by Marilyn Singer and FERGUS AND THE NIGHT-DEMON by Jim Murphy. He enjoys researching historical periods for his illustrations and has infused the pictures for SUCH A PRINCE with details of Russia during the time of the czars. He lives in Highland Park, Pennsylvania.

Nadia Shivack was born in Flushing, New York, but grew up in Manhattan. She studided at the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, the City College of New York, and Columbia University, where she focused on occupational therapy. She now lives in Tucson, Arizona, where she makes jewelry, and draws and paints when she has the courage.
Nadia has just completed a program at the Recovery Support Specialist Institute and plans to work in the area of mental health. She deeply believes this work will help her continue to define her own recovery and the awareness that she is far more than an eating disorder.
